Sri Aurobindo wrote this message at the request of All India Radio, Tiruchirapalli, for broadcast on the eve of the day of India’s independence, 15 August 1947. It is often referred to as the Five Dreams of Sri Aurobindo.
Remembering Aurobindo and his quest for unity
Aurobindo's dream of a World Union has also not been fulfilled. It could be argued that the world has become more united over the last 74 years, but, at this time, the need for greater unity is particularly obvious.
